I have 2 sets, with original pads, i can not make one finger stoppies, or anything close, in fact they always felt powerless... does anyone have luck with changing to some other pads, like clarks, goodrigde, or something else ??
-durability, is not an issue, for the pads, most important is braking power!

Thanxxxxx

Got similar with my k24's. Great modulation, just no real bite when you really pull hard. I'm presuming it must be the stock pads. Not tries any others yet, but got some sitting waiting to be fitted.

Always found the opposite with mine!

Plenty of bite but they munched through the pads very quickly (stock and pooperstar) - that's why they had to go in the end ๐Ÿ™

My K18's are great with Superstar Organic and Kevlar pads, can't remember them being bad with the stock ones either.

Have they been bleed recently? I did mine after about a years use and the fluid was pretty cloudy, which I believe is due to absorbed moisture. Bleeding them sharpened them up nicely.

I have a K18 and it's alright. But it goes through pads so quickly. I also don't like the shape of the lever, gives me blisters after a long day or two of riding. Have found that my Juicy 5 is better now I've rebuilt and and learnt to bleed it properly. And the pads last at least twice as long in the avids.

Definately something wrong jeb... I'd try pads first since they're cheap and they'll need replaced sooner or later anyway. Fresh bleed couldn't hurt either (Oros aren't exactly hard to bleed, but they're quite easy to bleed badly)
