My neighbour came round before asking me to look at his brakes, there is no movement at the lever and pads are clamped to the rotor- any ideas?
Cheers

if you took the wheel out was there level movement? How old are they? He could have taken water into the system if he's had them a while, formulas need TLC - worth it, ace brakes, but ignore them at your peril.

Before it gets taken in it might be worth, maybe, taking the pads out, cleaning around the pistons, pushing the pistons back in with a tyre lever, putting pads back in and seeing if it does it again?

Had identical problem - tried pushing pistons in but made no difference . My guess is take up of water means too much volume. As a temp fix I cached open the grub screw on the reservoir and let a bit of fluid out onto a rag ( but it still took off a bit of the handlebar coating ๐Ÿ™
