Road bike is clean, but the paint seems to have dulled a bit, could do with some polish.

Any recommendations?

Toothpaste. Seriously. It's a very fine abrasive/polish

Polish is to make things look shiny. Toothpaste is for your teeth.

is where it's at.

fourbanger has it spot on, I bought a frame off here that looked like it needed a respray, now it has been mistaken for new. It's good stuff.

Having tried both autoglym and toothpaste on paint, the results are indistinguishable. Autoglym for metal though.

If you're seriously sitting there trying to sell the world the virtues of a tooth cleaning product for polishing bicycles, then I won't spend any more time squaring the ends of my fingers off arguing. However, Autoglym is £12.50 a litre and toothpaste is about £30 a litre. Your call!

Autoglym. Does exactly what it says on the tin. ("Induce vomiting if swallowed" unfortunately) Will stick with toothpaste.

Lol. Just on the basis that you don't need a lot and if it's a one off you've almost certainly got toothpaste already. Fwiw I have autoglym for exactly what it's for...
