So, I'm out on the trail (now) and after acouple of small drops I started to hear a clunk and harsh bang from the forks. I've stopped and it seems like they are only hitting about an inch of travel before stopping like they are bouncing off the crown. Any ideas?

They are reba sl with lockout if it helps. I get the same travel characteristics with them locked out and not which could point at an issue

I would guess that the o-ring holding oil in your damper has failed/worn out, and the oil is now in the lower legs.

Quite simple to fix, or send them back for warrenty if under a year old.

Well balls. Anyone got a service manual?

And fantastically they're EXACTLY 1 year and 1 week old. Balls. Wonder if I can still get a free service.

SRAM maybe

Maybe, but no. They tell me I need to get a qualified mechanic to do the job, which is fine and all but doesn't actually help me do the job myself.
