My Revalations U-turn air, aren't going through their travel. They keep stopping hard around 115mm mark on the stanchions.
The + air valve was acting up (sticking) & wouldn't hold air in, however it seems ok after few pumping & deflating sessions, but I still have same problem of them not going through their travel.
Any suggestions on what to do or should I just take them to a bike shop or send them to Tim Flooks?
Thanks.
have you tried removing and replacing the air core? and how long have you had them?
Let the air out of both air chambers. Compress the fork, Do you get all 130mm travel (+/- 3-5mm ish)? If not, then IIRC oil has leaked somewhere into the bottom of the R/H leg, resulting in a hydraulic lock.
not removed the air core...yet. Only 6 months and not ridden loads as 2nd bike, but they were 2nd hand (6 months again).
Don't get full travel when air out - shall I take em apart myself then?
It's a piece of piss to remove the lowers to see if there's a load of oil in the right leg.
SRAM have put a load of vids on youtube recently about taking things apart especially forks. Search for SRAMtech (I think) and look for lower leg removal.
ah thanks. I'll have a go at that tomorrow.
ye its most likely oil from the Moco has leaked into the lowers giving you hydraulic lock.
download the pdf of the sram site and strip them down.it,s not that dificult.all you need is 15wt fork oil and 5wt.about £12 for both from crc.
