[Closed] Fork upper dimensions? Balance bike project..

Hi
I'm building a balance bike for my little girl for Christmas and have done all the design work then had an idea to help keep costs down.
Does anyone know the dimensions of some general fork uppers/crown assembly? Basically I'm thinking of using some fork uppers as the complete fork set for the bike but don't have an old set I can measure. Does anyone know these sizes?

Stanchion total length from bottom of crown
width between the legs

Also, if anyone has a set that they are throwing out that I could buy (if the dimensions are OK) please let me know @ steve_dees AT hotmail.com
