I seem to remember someone on here who knows what they were talking about (Loco?), saying removing a stantion from the crown and replacing it was very dangerous.

the stanchions can be replaced no problem.i have a large stock of them and have done hundreds to date.as far as being dangerous im not sure how.the stanchion is pressed in,the crown has a lip which it sits against and then the topcap holds it.the worst that could happen is creaking.which i have not had that problem.in fact i have taken tubes out and then but them back to stop it...
if anybody has any questions then please call.
