Can you put any oil on the stanchions and seal? The forks have not been used for a while (8 months) and they feel a little sticky. I have left them upside down over night and thought a light film of oil might help. I have got finish line teflon wet oil, is that ok to use?

it'll be fine.
I use the wooden end of an artists paint brush to lift the edges of the seals up and get the oil underneath.

Why not go the whole-hog, buy some Fox oil and do a service as per [url= http://www.mojo.co.uk/dustwiper.htm ]here[/url] only takes 15 mins
