Not the most exciting start to my STW'ing, but after a bike/ car interface I'm looking to replace my roadhog fork with an a-c og 400mm and a 45mm offset, with a cheaper pompino forks but these have an a-c of 420 and a 42mm offset. What effect would this have on the handling of my roadrat?

no but a fair Q.. the higher fork will slacken the front by a degree and increase the trail in total by about 10%, as the rake change will also add trail. add in the bb height and rider weight shift and it'll be noticeable, ie slower or heavier steering, but good or bad is down to what you think of the current handling.

tbh from doing this kind of thing on cross bikes, i wouldn't think it'll be a positive change but it's a worthwhile experiment if the forks are a good price. a shorter stem will offset some of the change to a longer trail front end.
