Looking for a cheaper place to get hold of 2.5 and 5wt fork oil. halfords seem to have stopped doing anything below 10wt and I can't justify 100ml for £6.
Only need half a litre of each really.
Thanks.
Motorbike shops generally- you'll get a big bottle for the price of a teeny one. Though they won't always have the low viscosity ones. Mind you I ended up getting my last bottles from ebay as it worked out so cheap.
ok, will scour the bay....
Motorcycle shops that do a lot of crossers will generally have lower viscosity oils.
Last time I needed I ordered from Loco tuning, with a bunch of seal kits for my forks. Price was good for the oil and postage for all the parts and oil was very reasonable.
Don't know if he still sells the oil but it'd be worth an ask.
I've used synthetic motorbike fork oil for a while now.
That said if your forks are still within warranty I would be mindful of carrying out any service as per the manufacturers recommendations just in case.
I got this stuff...

Snap, ordered the Rock oil as well. 5 and 15 both cheaper than anything else and do a great job. 2.5? ...whats that for?
Don't forget to check your cST, not just the weight, which is highly variable brand to brand. Peter Verdones site is great:

cheers,
It's for an old set of rebas, I ran out of 5wt (I blame cannondales dodgy seals in their 10 year old forks ;-)) but that lasted me a good 8 or 9 years!
ta all, I'll probably go for the crc ones.
