We have recently changed cars so I am looking for the first time to get a roof bike rack. Are the through axle ones like Thule boost compatible? I'm looking at fork mount ones so the bikes wouldn't be so high up and they are slightly more secure than downtube/wheel clamp ones.
Any recommendations on what is good and also what roof bars to get (the car has flush roof rails). Lockable would be preferable, but I know it's more of a deterrent than actually being super secure.
