Did Cannondale patent the design - is anyone making something similar?

Yes, and it costs other manufacturers a fortune to license it - about £250 per bike from what I've heard...

I've never seen anyone else do a similar head shock style of suspension. Infact i don't think cannondale really bother with it anymore.
It seemed ace at the time when i had an F400. I loved that bike, used to do hundreds of miles on it.
