Hi All,
I'm looking at replacing my 13yr old GT idrive with a Specialized Camber. I'm torn between the new Comp 29er and the 2015 Camber Evo 29er.
The Camber Comp has a revelation RC3 120mm fork and the Camber Evo has a Reba RL 120mm fork. Can anyone explain what the differences between these are and whether it's worth spending £400 more to get the 2016 bike over the 2015 Evo.
Any help is gratefully received!
Jon
The Revelation is the better fork, a bit stiffer with a better damping system.
I haven't been that impressed with the new Reba forks. I've had endless problems with mine. I'd recommend the Revelation over the Reba any day.
The Camber geometry changed a bit between 2015 and 2016 (the "Evo" geometry became standard across the range). In 2015 you could essentially get the bike in two different versions, a steeper XC-focused model and the trail Evo model.
I think they shortened the reach / effective top tube slightly for the 2016 model as well.
Either will be a good investment.
