British Cycling would currently be sat in 8th in the medal table with 8 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze which bearing in mind they've only had 14 events to pick up medals is pretty stunning.

Is the risk now that DB gets poached?

I suspect he gets a fair whack from GB cycling and team sky, is any other country investing the kind of money in cycling that would tempt him away.

I suspect the most likely scenario for him leaving would be feeling that his job is done and looking for a new challenge.

+1

On the other hand there's always a new intake of youngsters, so whist it might be job done for Hoy and Pendleton, and Wiggo, Cav, Thomas etc are well set up in their careers. There'll always be the next intake of under-23's to work with.
