A mate and me are heading to FOD tomorrow. Aiming to be there about 10.30 any regulars going who would like to show two Welsh residents around or give us some pointers? We're looking for a change from Afan and I don't like my wheels leaving the ground 😀
I will be around tomorrow but haven't a clue where anything is so would be completely useless to you. Everything that is official is well signed, off piste....well obviously not. You will have a good day whatever you find. Give me a shout if you see a slow, old bloke on a silver AM9
I'll be the fat bloke on the 26" wheeled YT 😀 chasing a skinny guy on an ebike 😀
Not going to be there tomorrow as I’m broken. But if you don’t find a guide if you follow the fireroad out of the main centre by the pump track / skills area (to the left as you look up the hill from the bottom) you see loads of trails coming down to the fireroad. The first few are the official enduro trails - Y2K and Elephant Man. Both of those are on Trailforks - as is the super cross Singletrack and super cross DH which I stumbled on a few weeks back and thought were fun.
If you follow that fireroad on further (you get to a cross roads with a fireroad crossing it) and have to go up a short little technical bit of slope - then continue to the road and cross it. A bit further along that fireroad you’ll start to see more trails coming down the hill - that’s the ‘rubber duck’ area. Quite a few bits and bobs to play on there - it’s a bit steep / tech but nothing where your wheels need to leave the ground.
@fatbrad, Did you enjoy the day, and find enough trails to make it a fun one?
