Just to say if anyone finds a tool wrap that I dropped at Ae on Sat 20th June I would be grateful to get it back  Had a tool from late father, others ones can be replaced. Great riding there and very quiet on a sunny weekend apart from lots of roadies passing through the car park

If you’re on Facebook, drop a note on the local group page. Better chance someone might see it

Link doesn’t appear to want to work. (* edit cos I’m an idiot and linked to a private one.

This one is still quite active -

It's quiet as the cafe closed. The locals are going elsewhere mostly, we still meet on a Tuesday night, but even that is dying off. On nice nights there'd be 50+ out in different groups on a Tuesday, now its down to 25. Typically at least 10 of us met up on a Sunday, that has finished totally, we go to Mabie, Glentress/Kirroughtree or the road. Ae Bike Assn are trying to get things going again, doing trail maintenance (FLS are useless at maintaining Ae), and setting up a BBQ on a Tuesday night, but for many, having the cafe there after a ride was a big draw, without the cafe, there isnt so much reason to go there when Mabie is 20 minutes away.

A tool set was found this week, from the pic, it looks like a water bottle type holder with tools inside. Is that the one that was lost?  If you're on FB, it's on the Ae Village FB page.

Thanks Alan was not the one i lost though. Got some new cheaper tools and hopefully better secured toolwrap now. I will try to get down and around AE again as I like the trails, pity the start of the red route is mostly fireroad, but I have found some of the other bits and will need to try to join up together to get a better route at the start. Will likely come during the day as an evening ride and a drive makes it too late for getting home. Its always a pity about low numbers using the trails when they are so good in parts.

If you know, just about, where you lost it, i can go there and have a good look around.
