It is now £7 a day to park at Grizedale (seems steep at first but not crazy compared to town centres of going to movies), but thoughts do turn to the buying an annual permit. This would be £40, or £50 including Whinlatter.

But why can't I buy one that gives national coverage - ideally also including Scotland & Wales?

National Trust manage this for family membership at less than £100 a year - so why is it so hard for the FC?

Despite being a national Government agency the FC operate as regions so I presume this affects how individual areas manage their permits. This is also highlighted by the variance in regular car park pricing. At Cannock Chase there is current some grumbling about the 2015 increase to £4 per day (after our local team have worked hard to stick to the previous £3 for as long as they could).

They all March to the beat of their own drum. If you want to coach at Sherwood Pines you have to pay a £150 for a "licence" to do so. Not heard of that being the case at any other FC site.
