I thought the frame did nothing that special compared to my Karate Monkey frame at a quarter the price.

I've owned a couple a KM's and a couple of Jones.
As great as the KM is for not a lot of money it's not even a shadow on a jones*.

*As long as you fit one. And don't believe the shite of one size fits everyone.
Jeff's are built for people that are quite close to the same size as Jeff.

Well you would say that if you have spent a small fortune on one ๐Ÿ˜€
I do not see anyone doing/riding anything on a Jones that you can ride on a Monkey, there is a limit to a rigid bike frame thats all i`m saying ๐Ÿ™‚

I've not seen anyone riding anything on a monkey that can't be ridden on a crossbike/grandads ride to work bike.
But see little relevance with the piont you're trying to make.
Yes you can ride a lot of stuff on a lot of bikes.
But does it feel as good when you do it repeatedly...

As you know yourself you can ride most things as fast on a rigid bike as a bimbler on a carbon wonder full susser. 8)

Thank you for all the responses to the thread ... loving the pics.

It would seem that the usual height to stem to post to bar set up doesn't necessarily fit with the usual convention.

At 6' 3ish I would guess at a layback Thomson post and either a 100 or 110mm stem but I really need to try one ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyone contacted Jeff about non custom frames ... perhaps gauging thoughts on individual set up?

Anyone with one in East Anglia?

Diamond & Unicrown here. 5'9" - Thomson layback & 70mm stem with H bend.

Been riding it for about a month & really enjoying it. This is gong to sound strange, but it's somewhere between my old Kona Unit (before they went shit) & my old Cove Hustler. 2hr thrash in the woods yesterday & a 4hr South Downs mud slog today - both great rides & both completely different.

Was a little bit concerned that I'd miss the dropper post, but the geometry & bars just seem to get you in just the right position & the relatively short top tube is great.

At the moment I'm using 2.3 Ground/Butcher Controls on Flow/Blunt 35. I've got a Knard turning up tomorrow, but no real burning desire to try it. It's not like the current combo isn't working great.

Would really like to stick a ti Truss on it though.
