Has the weather seriously curtailed your training as much as it has mine?
Not really planning to race seriously or anything, but was planning to enter a few events, plus maybe a couple of sportives. I'm finding that I'm doing far far less on the bike than I'd planned however, simply can't be bothered going out in sleet, 30 mile an hour winds and snow.
So training has mainly been confined to a couple of hour long turbo sessions a week, and maybe a couple of hours on the MTB at the weekend. Ticking over I imagine, but doubt I'm getting any endurance base.
Anyone else feel the same?
Just go out, unless it is icy or very very windy it isn't that bad.
Done over 120 miles on road and MTB in the last 7 days.
Was out on MTB yesterday evening, and out on the roadie with a newbie friend tonight in strong gusty winds.
Just get out there.
Only icy conditions cut down on my riding.
Was knocked of in january
Spent february in turkmenistan
Still done 2k kms this year and feel fitter than i have for a couple years since i stopped racing
It has been a bit slow but it always is. Now the weather has turned and the evenings are light enough I'll be racing and TT once a week and riding lots more so the fitness comes back. November to March is about damage limitation (trying not to lose fitness) and a bit of CX.
Still I'm about a stone lighter than last year since I haven't spent 3 weeks eating in Italy.
Nope. Done just over 4,800 miles so far this year. ๐
A knee injury in December wasmore of an issue, I have run twice since December 8th, and the second one of those didn't go well ๐
