Look, OP, we all knew we were living on borrowed summertime. So rather than jinx it, we all agreed to not tempt fate and start any 'dusty trails' type threads. Apparently this was working....

It's been chucking it down on-and-off in Yorkshire since Friday. Makes a pleasant change. I was getting bored of dusty trails and sunburn anyway. No really. I'm looking forward to the next eleven months of miserable clag and horizontal rain, honest.

Long 65k's hack on the CX yesterday after a weekend of working hell.
In my end of the South Downs it was:
Dry.
Dusty.
Bloody Hot.
I'm with the OP, except I wear 3/4 bibs, which stink.
