In issue 44 I noticed in one of the articles that a guy was sat on a balustrade of a bridge was wearig football trainers something similar to these

Has anyone ever tried them? I presume they may be ok, stiff sole, good grip for flats, easy to clean, good water resitance as tongue is covered

The soles aren't that stiff - they actually pretty flexible.

I play 5-a-side very regularly and normally ride home afterwards. I can really feel the pedals through the soles (Umbro decent 5-a-side shoes) and wouldn't want to ride much more than the 30mins or so it takes me to get home afterwards.
