Yay or nay?

May potentially be looking at a 2.5 mile ride either end of a short train journey. Take a folder because then I can get any train, or take a regular bike and take my chances? I think the slower trains have more bike space but haven't investigated.

If I do go down the folding route, are Brompton's the best or are they just the famous brand.

The alternative is to leave a rat bike at the other railway station all the time but fear it may slowly disappear piece by piece.

Cheap as chips is a £150 Decathlon SS folder. Well, its folds - but not exactly very small. Brompton is just classier in every respect. Some do come up on here - £400. IMO worth it.
