Got some foil stickers on anodised wheels which I want to remove, but they come off in 1mm increments. Any suggestions for easier removal? I will clean with isopropyl to get the glue off afterwards

You could try warming them with a hairdryer. Scrape with a wooden implement. White spirit after for the gunge residue.

This^ heat is your friend. Avoid solvents if possible. Heat and patience are the answer.
