What did you think? I loved it, easy transitions and trick stages. Bit broken today.

Bit broken here too. Trying to ride down the corkscrew on my face and chest may not have been a great idea...

I was there meeting my brother but not riding, It looked like so much fun despite the weather and will be entering a round this year no doubt. If anyone saw us we were the people sorting bikes by a blue transporter by the entrance haha

Sounds like a tough ride in some challenging conditions here they managed to mess up timing on a stage again, should offer refund IMO !

Not as good as last years imo, messed up start times for the hardtails meant we were told to get to stage 1 an hour before we were meant to start. Stage 3 timing was also messed up and i'm not sure why they chose to run stage 1 again at the end, there's loads of other trails there that they could have used. Was still an awesome day though and met a load of great guys ๐Ÿ˜€

So wanted to do this but had prior commitments. What tracks did they use out of interest?

Racing was horribly slow. Still had a great day though. Had an awful time on stage 1 which put me off for the rest of the race. Big crash on the stage 2 corkscrew. Best riding of the day was stage 3 but then the timing didn't work there.

My take on things:

Stage 1:
Turning up when the time said then having to wait around an well over an hour for the start (Could of communicated it better but not end of the world) Stage was good bit on the peddle, rooty, off camber & some nice steep drops.

Stage 2:
On the peddles to start in to some cool off piste DH stuff. Great stage.

Stage 3:
Same on the peddles to start in to some cool off piste DH stuff with some tricky off camber sections. Not sure why it went through the bog at the end but that was probably bone dry when they scoped out the tracks. Fun stage shame it didn't count but again not the end of the world.

Stage 4:
Same as stage 1 but with 900 bikes down it in 6 hours. Really cut up if you were in and around 300 bib number not as fun as the first time down it. Would have been different if it was dry but it was the same for all the Hardtails. If had to choose one to do twice it would be stage 2 but that would not work for the timing.

Overall I had a good day, Planning on doing eastridge round and FoD again if I'm free.
