I'm hoping to head down to the FoD by car from Ludlow next weekend for a day of riding round with a mate of mine who is coming over from near Reading. I've done some searching on here and it sounds like the waymarked trails are relatively tame and I'm looking for some more technical riding.
If anyone is riding next Saturday 26th starting around 930am meeting up at Pedalabikeaway riding most of the daylight that would be fantastic, or if you can manage a part of that time it would be great to follow you round some of the good stuff. Cakes and teas on us, obviously.
I'll be keeping an eye on the weather all this week. From Google Maps it looks like there are lots of small back roads through the FoD. Are they clogged up with snow and ice at the moment? Will I even get there in the car?
The Forest is pretty snowy at present.Mind they are talking maybe by Friday and Sat might be some milder air coming in.Quite a few villages are snowed in at present.Not to mention the ice as well.happy days.
