New grip time as my ODI TLD lock-ons are getting pretty worn out. Do I stick with what I know or am I missing out on some zen-like 'hands-bars interface' with foam?
I know grips are a totally personal thing and will be trying some different ones out for fit etc.

So, do you use foam or rubber?

Rubber. Unlike everyone else with large hands (XXL glove size) I found ESI chunky grips gave me sore hands. ODI Ruffian or Race Face half Nelson for me.

Tried Ritchey foam "grip"
Too fat, no grip
Went back to ODI lock-ons (Ruffian I think)

Might consider foam on a commuter bike or something though.

Silicon (ESI) - good.
Rubber - ok.
Foam - bad.

silicon - good in wet
rubber - okay in wet

Liking my ESIs, foam otherwise. Find them perfectly comfy, just slippery when wet without gloves.

The Troy Lee ODIs are very grippy. I always use gloves though. I still get slightly calloused on a busy biking week though.
