23kg £36 both ways.

26kg £60 both ways.

WTF? It is a bike trip but will I need that extra 3kgs? Booking imminently...

2x 23? I just end up putting pedals and rotors in the 2nd bag

It's also all relative to how much the actual flight costs

Yeah that is loads, most of my trips were 2x23kg and that gets most things in, any more and you can slip in the track pump etc.

Used to get 70kg over to the states from Oz but that covered a week of business and a tent!!

We went to Canada with 2 touring  bikes in boxes  (heavier than many mtbs ) and 2 hold bags.

We were touring for 3 weeks and took everything out with us in those bags.

You should surely be able to get all you need into a bike bag and .a hold bag each ?
