After reading Ton's post t'other day about fixie riders in Yorkshire! I was wandering about the locality yesterday and spotted THIS PLACE

So off I peddled and dropped by, I clocked a loverly looking Abici Agus in the window and went in.

It was a proper nice shop, the customer service was excellent, I liked the look of the Abici but it was way out of my price range, so I had a quick spin on a Charge Plug, very impressed was I and I think I've found the single speed/fixie commuter for the forthcoming year.

To top it all off the girl in the shop was loverly, definitely worthy of a picture in one of them "girls on bikes" threads ๐Ÿ˜† 8)

Be prepared for everyone to tell you that the Charge is really heavy...as if it's a race bike or something.

I've had mine for nearly 2 years commuting and it's served me very well.

Stock tyres were a bit on the porky side, soon had these off and it rode a lot better with 23c's.

I've just replaced the wheels as the cup and cone formula's were gash, though I think they've updated these to sealed bearings now.

Haze -> the charge feels positively flyweight compared to my current commuter and the Mongoose Maurice I was looking at before crimbo

A shade over 10kg for a stock medium, which is a tad heavier than similar bikes.

It's never bothered me...

Oh well, it has got to cope with the amazingly smooth roads of Central London though ๐Ÿ˜†

At least the biggest slope on my commute is up Camden Rd towards Kings cross, must be all of a 1:30000000 ๐Ÿ˜†

You own/work in that place don't you and this is a plot to drum up more business. The promise of an attractive lady is particularly devious.

Burn him!

Why does the link in the OP just take me back to the forum summary page?

Don't know but it should take you www.pushcycles.com It certainly wasn't undercover advertising as I don't work in that shop let alone in the bike industry

WTF, it don't work cut & paste to browser if you want a look!

akira-> I could hardly get my phone out and bag a quick snap of girl in question, it would've been a bit rude
