If it helps just bought Freeriders yesterday from Edinburgh Bike Coop, mainly because they look better than Impacts! First ride out and they do grip better than my old Nikes, wishing I'd given the Sam Hills more thought now as it looks like I'm going to wear these none stop ๐Ÿ™‚

impacts are more durable. mine are about three years old.

I've got Impacts but am very tempted to buy some Freeriders. The Impacts are great but really are very bulky (and ugly), causing my heels to rub on my seatstays more than I'd like.

I can recommend the Karver impacts: They appear a bit more weatherproof than the standard Impacts.

AM40s ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just got mine and they've made a better impression than my 5 10s.

couldn't be happier with my freerides. no downsides yet. none.
was riding mp56's before and they were bombproof but the sole was too flexable and they looked pretty damn special!
the freerides have better grip than the shimano's, sometimes when my foot is out of place I cant shift it over without totally unweighting and placing back down on the pins.
