I'm looking for a new pair of shoes and think I have narrowed it down to the Fiveten freerider contact or pro.

I'd like something with a stiffer sole than the standard freerider. I've had a look at the contacts in a shop and like the stiffness of the sole but don't like the bare patch, does anyone have any real world experience of these?

I have only seen the pros for the first time online today, I take it they newish? How do these compare to the contacts and standard freeriders?

Unless you live in a hot dry climate, I can't see past freerider elements. They're basically what your after but waterproof(ish)...

The soles fall off the Contacts.

The Pro version seems to address a lot of the issues I had with the Freeriders - I'll be replacing my Impact VXi's with some once the sole is done.

Sole fell off my Impact VXI's , CRC sent me a pair of freerider elements to replace.

I've had both. Never had issues with soles falling off. But the pro's are a much nicer shoe.
