I want to fit a pair of these to my mountain bike for my bike packing trips.

http://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/control-tech-aero-cockpit-plus-carbon-162259

The issue is that the clamps are 31.8mm diam with a 70mm spacing. I am struggling to find straight bars where the 31.8mm diameter section is that long. Most bars I have found seem to start tapering off before 70mm.

Anyone know any straight or low riser bars that do have a longer 31.8mm diam section at the clamp area?

Thanks

I found some adaptors online that increase the thin part of the bars to make them over sized, I cut them down a bit and grinded the inside to go over the slope, then rapped electrical tape around them for when I need to do the same for longer rides, they work a treat.

Just had a quick search on line but can't see them, sorry

Here you go search for "handlebar shim"

Cut them to suit (I cut mine in half), grind the inner to match the slope on your bars, wrap with tape and the jobs done

Why not just get something a lot simpler, a pair of bars that can be set up as far apart as you want?

e.g. http://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/profile-design-t2-aluminum-aerobar-219599/wg_id-484

You might then want to "customise" them for length too.
