Looking for some advice...
I've got a Kinesis hanger but the brake boss hole in my forks is too small diameter for the bolt. The bolt is M5 and I'm guessing the hole is 3 or 4 mm.
I'm not sure about fitting a narrower bolt and am considering enlarging the hole with a drill.
Has anyone tried this on carbon forks?! I've cut carbon posts/steerers before but gave tried to drill through it ๐
Cheers
you're not sure about fitting a thinner bolt but are ok about drilling carbon?
fit a different bolt
Why not fit one that goes in with the stem spacers?

can get a lot more brake judder with those.
I was going to suggest drilling the carbon and wearing a GoPro.
Ok humbled, guess I'll keep looking for a M3 x 70 mm hex socket bolt - seem difficult to find ๐

Not if fitted properly & brakes adjusted they don't
Hence the 'can'.
Seems to be a known issue on some frame/fork designs and combinations. Didn't giant or specialized do a recall/swap on this issue a year or two back?
Sure it's not a mudguard hole? ๐
spesh changed the front brake setup on the tricross from a stem spacer mount to a fork mount due to major amount of judder i have the mount but not fitted it yet.
