I'm thinking of getting a genesis day one disk, for commuting, day to day travel and possible future touring duties. In the future I'd like to get a second hand rohloff hub and fit it. Other than rebuilding the rear wheel, is this possible?

main issues will be fudging the shifter to your drop bars via one of the various dummy shifter mounts

and youll need to use a speedbone or similar mount as the horizontals not up to the reaction force of the rohloff. other than that youll be grand :d

FWIW id just stick an alfine 8 & versa shifter on

ive got that set up on a roadrat and the mrs has it on a genisis day one (factory alfine 8 set up)

my rohloff languishes in the shed - i had intended to fit it to road rat but the alfine meets all my needs and i would cry if the hub got stolen like i would if the hoff went.

rohloffs going in a new fatty build ๐Ÿ˜€

I saw a twist grip designed for rolhoff and drop bars at the bike show this year, not cheap though.
