Got a new Reverb coming, and the bike it's going on has GX shifters and Level brakes. I'm too impatient to wait and see what brackets or MMX stuff it does or doesn't come with, so I'm asking here! Should the Reverb remote attach to the brake clamp or shifter clamp? I've bought it from CRC - do they flog Reverbs in plastic bags with no instructions like they do with cheaper/simpler components? Cheers.

From memory, you just remove the clamp bits of the brake and reverb and they bolt together. If you don't get any of the required bits, give me a shout. I have a bag of reverb bits in the garage.

Yep, Wrecker's right. The Reverb remote should be bolting up to the brake lever (and the RH shifter should be bolting up to the other brake lever)

Extreme example with old generation SRAM components - if you look at the way the shifter is bolted to this band - that's how a shifter or reverb button normally mounts to a brake lever via MMX.

Here's a page of all things MMX, note that it's possible to have a Reverb button that mounts to a clamp, or a Reverb that has a band with you mount the shifter to. OEM I guess you'll get the first of those options.

it works either way, the reverb will come with the small attachment to connect the two together. Though I didn't like it as the relative spacing was all out for my liking so everything is attached to the bars seperately.
