Just realised that I've never fitted any chainrings to my bikes, only changed cranksets....
Trying out a narrow/wide 30T, should I use locktite or grease on the fitting bolts? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

smidge of grease and nip them up tight, they shouldn't come undone, id only use locktite if they kept coming loose.

Ok thanks.
I should have said that I built up the 1x10 the other day and in my haste I cant remember if I greased the bolts or not. I've only had a 6 mile ride to work and back and on the way home I noticed some creaking which sounds like its coming from the crank area.
Would greasing and retightening the bolts help with that?
