Myself and the lovely wife are off for a week holiday soon and want to use the week to get fit! The hotel has a gym anyone got ideas on training schedules?! Was thinking of running 10k per day 2 sessions in gym 1 for strength the other for stamina mostly free weights and core. I'd like to really go for it but obv don't want to overtrain...
If you can manage 2 10km runs and 2 gym sessions in a week then by most definitions you're "fit".
Its not possible to [i]get [/i]"fit" in a week, it is however possible to try lots of different ways of exercising to find out what you like, and then commit to those that you like when you return.
Just 'exercise' with your wife in your room ๐
Why the hell would you want to use a hotel gym?
Everytime I go on holiday I say to myself that I'll use the hotel gym to keep up the fitness while i'm there.
Never happens...the most exercise I get is holding my book in front of my face and drinking beer. Sometimes I get up for a walk in between courses in the buffet restaurant to get more puddings.
yeah im exactly the same! Im quite fit at moment, riding bike generally 3 times a week but want to use the week to do extra exercise that i wouldnt normally have time to do with job etc. Im doing a 24 hour race solo in about 8 weeks time so want to keep up the training for that really

Then you need to ride a bike, simple as that. Look at hiring one, google the area your going to before hand and get in contact with a local shop, maybe they can get an arrangement with the hotel for storage?
