[Closed] First ride iNewcastle didn't go quite as planned. But restored my faith somewhat

Moved to Newcastle almost 2 weeks ago, but have been in Skipton with work since. Spent all day in the garden / garage (man cave project). Needed to get out on the bike so decided to pop out on the road bike. Managed 4 miles before I got a flat. Balls. Hadn't taken spare.... Started the walk home. Passed umpteen cyclists and not a word of help. Then a kind chap stopped, gave me a inner and chatted until it was fixed. Neither of us had a pump that work. Cue another kind female cyclist and friend stop with a working pump. Brilliant.
