Son wanted to do the kids Newbury summer cx so I entered the dads race...it'll be just like sports day with a load of over weight bifters wont it?

Bit worried now as its been raining all night and this morning...

What tyres for being in over your head?

ABout half way through it, you may wish so ๐Ÿ™‚

But the odds of actual death are fairly low ๐Ÿ™‚

Just wait till you find out the dad's race sets off in front of the kids "to give them something to chase" and you have to face the ignominy of being lapped by 8 year olds for half an hour.

I'm never entering the fun category of a cx race again. At least the proper race whilst it was an hour of suffering, involved being passed by euro champions etc so didn't have the same level of shame.

I regularly thought I'd die during singlespeed races, but that has more to do with alcohol poisoning I think😀
