Only been riding a MTB for 6 weeks or so and I'm a bit nervous... and I'll be SS'ing.
Fingers crossed there's less snobbery than the road clubs I've ridden with!

Where are you riding?
darkness riding is a great leveller, you'll be fine
guessing that there are lights involved you will probably have light envy if someone with a powerful light follows you!
Also good on you being a beginner on a SS, they really help develop your skills so keep plugging away at it, pumping the terrain and being brave off the brakes 🙂
Oh and ask people to move if you need a run up at something 🙂
