A friend has invited me and the wife for a little boat trip through the Crinan canal on Friday / Saturday, was thinking I might do the Fire Tower trail while I'm there.
Has anyone done it? Looks like it might be quite good
Its fairly average IMO. Its got a few fun sections but nothing as sustained as the 7 Stanes. Worth a quick blast if you're up that way but not really worth travelling for on its own.
Umm, so to answer your question - I'd give it a go if you're up there anyway.
Yup do it regular as its only a few miles from my house, over the last few months i have noticed it getting a fair bit busier than this time last year which is good, but its no Glentress..
Stop at Cairnbaan hotel for some good food and even better beer on your way through the canal, also thats the closest point for access to Achnabreck 🙂
