Hans Dampf

High Roller II

Cos these are the two in my size on Evans and I have a discount voucher bringing the prices down to just over £32 for the HD.

The terrain will be either stony trails, trail centres or soft peaty dirt up in the mountains.  Unlikely to be used in proper wet mud but maybe, so it's not top priority for performance but I wouldn't mind not dying if I find a wet section.

High roller on the front hans on the back is how I've used them. Then went to high roller front saguaro rear (Surrey hills, trips to afan and the surrounding area and Canada )

As you'll remember, I had a HD on the front of my old Fisher, and I loved it. I obviously can't say anything about the High Roller, but the HD was the first time I used a tyre that really changed the way I felt on the bike.

Of course none of that applies now.

I am predisposed to Schwalbe tyres since I really rate their carcass design - they let me use lower pressures than other tyres I've had whilst still giving support.  Plus in this situation HDs are cheaper and 100g lighter per tyre.
