Well for a while now I have just been riding the bike, quick hose down and that's it,not really given my bike any love, and it showed!!

CRUNCH!!!

All at once no drive from the Nuke Proof hub, oh and earlier the levers pulled to the bars, so little in the way of brakes!!

So freehub body, pawls, DOT fluid, pads all obtained and into the sharage (it's bigger than a shed but not really a garage) to do some tinkering!!

Bike now all sorted running well, wheel sorted, brakes both bled, new pads fitted (just need bedding in) and I realised how much I missed the workshop side of life!!

It may be all about the ride, but it's all about the other stuff too!!

Mine is more dungeon than sharage unfortunately. You're right though - little comes close to a good fettling session. I know someone who seems to prefer fettling to riding!

I think I'llalways prefer the ride but nothing like a bit os spannering, especially if you have new bits to fit (which currently I don't, spares don't count as new bits)
