[#3779881]

The Bike Chain have just got some Hüsker Düs in. I'm hoping these are gonna be a bit more grippy than the Endomorph, without the complete "rip-em-up" knobbliness of the Nate. Has anyone managed to acquire and use a (pair of) these yet and maybe provide some feedback?

Certainly agree the Nates are draggy on the ups, but they do roll pretty fast down a trail. I like the confidence they give, but reckon the Husker Du's look faster and still plenty grippy.

Triton have then too.

I don't know of any uk fatty with these on yet, but they are supposed to be the best summer trail tyre out there according to our friends over the pond.
Come in slightly thinner than the Surly offerings, but I don't think you can go wrong with them. Supposed to be really nice rolling tyre.

ive ordered a set

took my nates off now its not so muddy out

gonna fit huskers cos I think they will be a good sumer tyre for dry ish singletrack (used a endo/larry combo last year)

got 2 larrys I will prob sell once I get the huskers if i like them - they are also supposed to be quite light

Sorry to Hijack your thread Colin , Good article in current singletrack on East Lothian fat bikers but sadly they couldn't even take the time to post a single picture of one of them . Shame after being guided for 2 days not to at least show the guys doing the hospitality.

😕

Pretty poor given the input many, esp Bruce, have had on here.

Oh well...

I guess it depends on what your local trails are like, but I have never had a problem with Larry's in dry conditions?

I would wait to see how much the on one's tyres are later in the year & the new, lighter origin 8 ones.

Anyway, If it gets any drier up here, I will be fitting my Black Floyds pretty soon!!

Wouldn't have mattered anyway , they wouldn't have shown you in any pictures either probably. 🙁

Sorry for thread hijack....l

Both Jenn and I took the pictures, but Sim selected them, in hindsight I should have made it clearer in pointing out to Sim who was who and asked him to make sure they were included, I too was disappointed that none of the guys got their pic in the mag but that's my fault for not pointing them out, nothing to do with any decision made by Singletrackworld.

Let's be clear, without Bruce, Jason and Dave that article wouldn't have happened.

Fitted mine. Out on bike tomorrow. Just a lap round Rutland water - not too interesting but few diff surfaces and the mrs can just manage the distance

Second ride out on them now and they are absolutely brilliant. What a fantastic "upgrade"!!!

What was the main reason for buying? Rear end traction? Front end washing out?
I really like these, but I have already spent too much £££ on fat rubber over the last few months 😆

On One are bringing out there OEM tyre in the summer to go with their fat bikes, might be interesting to wait and use what you have until then.
For me
1st choice Larry's and BFL's
Mud choice Nates front and back
Endomorph, sitting in the garage looking sad

It's a slightly thinner tyre and I wasn't too impressed with the Endo. Maybe if I had been running a Larry on the back I wouldn't have bothered. Now I have - and have one on the front too - I'm just so glad I made the move. I reckon they are faster rolling than the Larry/Endo, they save a wee bit of weight and the levels of grip are phenomenal.

these husker du's are awesome, great for singletrack trails, I still think the nates I have are mint for mud/ winter use, but for all other times husker du are good

rolled really well today, great grip, and good handling

I don't think there could be a better fat tyre for general use

* high fives *

Sets a tough benchmark for the On One fat tyres to match.
