Don't worry I'm off out for a ride in a hour, so it's not keeping me in.
It's just that my spare waterproof I was using to get me to the start of the ride with mates died 5 miles from home this morning, so I turned around and now I've got the stuff in the car ready to drive to the start with a better (I hope) waterproof at the ready.
The reason for this mini rant is it's July FFS, we normally get a 2 week bad spell each summer but this ones going into it's 4th bloody week. Stop it now please.
Sorry
Nice and sunny all weekend so far in cambs...cannot complain.
you're off out for a ride...so what's the problem?
two words John "sugar cube"
(melts in the rain)
He we go again...we had this discussion a while back! Must depend where you are. I've been getting out still but this is the 4th week of mostly rain we've had down here in Somerset. Agreed its rubbish. The only day it hasn't rained here was last Saturday!
Was going to do garborn pass and kentmere in the lakes with my mate today.Looked at the forcast and decided to go yesterday evening instead.Glad we did, today its pissing down whereas last night it was sunny and warm 8)
sat here in the cairngorms looking at the rain, eating breakfast and checking out John's thread and as i opened it the sun has literally just come out, everything comes to he who waits, see ya later! 8)
John, hate to say it, but MTFU. Thought you were a northern lad?
Just back in after 3 hours in the saddle, very, very wet but still happy.
Bike needs a clean and but clothes are in the washer.
Why does it stop raining when you get to the end of a ride?
It was still better than working eh ArtDave ๐

It was bloody loverly in Llandegla, not!! ๐ Off up to the Masts & Offas Dyke for a bit
You live in the wrong part of the country. Not that much rain here.
It has been a bit like deja vu from the previous two summers weather wise recently with it being very wet and windy in the south west. MTFU is all very well if your local trails are hard and rocky but it just becomes a muddy swamp here. Lucky that Wales is so close ๐
Also the winter and up to the end of June the weather has been pretty damn good so i'll take a wet July as long as summer returns for August
We rode Rivington pike and somehow didn't get too wet.
The Belmont descent was great, it seems to hold up well on all weathers.
We 3 Ladies and 1 guy today and we didn't see another mtber at all on the trails.
John are you getting old and short tempered? I seem to remember you being the cheerful chappy with 50 waterproofs stuffed in his camelbak for another mid-July ride that was slightly damp.
