the article in the new copy of the mag got me thinking, especially the pic of the Cannondale Fulcrum......what bikes got you "going" back in the day (whatever that means), the ones you lusted after but couldn't afford.

For me:

haven't got the pics to hand but for me it would be the Kona Explosif c1996 - I still have this frame and the Trek Y33 which I was desperate to own in yellow carbon and never did - I'd buy one now if I could.

Remember having a go on an RC100 at the Bingley NEMBA event. After that, always wanted one.

[Another bike which caught my attention- I think I copied the paintwork on a DIY BMX paint job.

I think I've still got the 1989 Kona Catalogue. I had a Fire Mountain at the time, but always lusted after the Brodies at the back of the catalogue

I have to admit looking at these it shows how much bikes have moved on. I used to have versions of both Paces, and an '89 Kona Explosif, and apart from sentimental reasons, I can't imagine if I still had them I'd ever use them in anger over something like a Turner 5-Spot or a 456!
