just wondering if anyone is running anything bigger that a 42c on their lht.
got a 50km mixed terrain ride planned in a couple of weeks, and was gonna get some 2'' tyres to get a bit more cushioning.

2" tyres no problem on a 26" wheel - with guards.

Wot does it say inside the chainstay? "Fatties Fit Fine". Did you think that was referring to the riders?

26?: 2.1? with or without fenders; 700c: 42mm with fenders, 45mm without fenders Individual tire and rim combos affect tire clearance

Looks like you're already at(or near) maximum tyre width. Rims can make a difference to tyre volume (and comfort) but now you're getting a bit spendy.

I was gonna drop the guards for this ride, it is a mix of lanes/tracks, I will just tape my rack top up to keep the worst muck off.
I am pretty sure a 2'' conti tyre fits in, just don't know which model.

You can stretch a bit of inner tube across the top brackets for your rack and tie it on with a couple of zip-ties to extend the mudguard effect. I actually found an old RRP Neoguard worked for me.

Don't know if you can make it out in this photo
