I have a 907 and ride it around all my usual haunts as well as the commute to work. Versatile things, fatbikes.
I've never seen as many people agree with each other on here. ๐
For versatile read ' really slow and hard work and you will sell it within a month' _ ive not got one so my view is worthless but cant let geardanglerstu have it all his own way ๐
In what ways are they better than your normal bike, any particular trail sections you clear on your fattie?
If you answer they are more fun that's ok with me.
pop.
You still coming over next week?
I can show you my geardangler then.
zippy.
Not better in most situations just different and fun.
Though they do grip like shit to a blanket on steep rocky climbs.
Stu
Yes thats still the plan- either monday or thursday look favourite- will drop you a text matey
I'll warm the dangler up so it looks bigger. ๐
Fluff it up !!
*blushes*
me.any where I want. ๐
I have one. I ride the same trails with it as the normal bike.
The fatbike lets me ride in snow when I couldn't ride the regular mountain bike. It also lets me ride when the trails are wet and muddy without leaving ruts and damaging the trails like a regular mountain bike.
I haven't ridden my regular MTB since before Christmas! ๐ฏ
Everywhere....
Here's one from Golspie on the Pug....
Nice vid.
I think part of the thing with fatbikes is that you are way less limited about where you ride em.

Unlike conventional mountain bikes which you can only ride at trail centres do you mean? ๐
You either get them or you don't, they are just fun, different but fun

Picked my Fat bike up yesterday ....looking forward to my maiden voyage ๐
Kaiser ^ is a thing of beauty.
๐
That's bloody gorgeous that is.
Looks like I'm joining the clan within the next week or so.
Just gotta get my ass on a saddle and my legs turning between now and then ๐
Use it to everywhere, it is very competent on usual trails. Even use it for work as well. Just great fun to ride.
Got one. Use it everywhere.
Rarely ride anything else these days. Other bikes seem so bland now.
I got to borrow one the other day, the guy who loaned it me for the day said if he had to clear out his bike's the only one he'd keep is the fat bike, I thought that was a bit of a stretch, went out in the snow{Canada}, best fun I've had on a bike for as long as I can remember, rode nothing like I expected and can't wait to buy one, I'm even looking at which one of the fleet will be sacrificial, and for the record I'm not niche at all

Ride it everywhere. It's ace!
nice bike slappy!
Hey up Taz. Sorry I missed you at the week end matey. I dropped in to spk with Pop and the boys after he ride. Spk soon mate. ๐
<waves hand>
Me! Just picked up a Beargrease. My teeth, it's stupidly light and rolls remarkably quickly. I got it because Fat Bikes make me smile whenever I ride one. No better reason than that. At the weight of around 28.5 pounds, it's going to be used for some Munro action and general off road fun!
when i first saw a fat bike, i thought they were ridiculous.
Now i'm starting to like the look of em ๐ฏ

I've got one... Well two.... A new pugsley build is happening this week around bud and Lou tyres. And Dave is taking my old pugsley.
I use it largely to walk the dog on the beaches. But it's also done two XC races, and two DH races.
Here is video of a dog walk....
