Is there a cheap to mid priced pannier rack that'll fit over a 170mm hub?

Surly do the alternator rack, but that's for alternator dropouts, and is way over budget. Thinking more Topeak-DX budget.

Need to get a few more odd-s and ends into my commuting bags that don't easily fit into a frame bag.

After looking at google images it might not work anyway, the only mounts on the Fatty are by the dropout, most fat bikes seem to have mounts on the seatstays.

I did find another company that made racks that might work but they were still the surly price range unfortunately.
Old man mountain was the name, Blackburn also make a rack but I'm not sure if it's available in the UK yet.

The Blackburn on that mounts through the qr, you'd need to cut it down and get a 190qr.

There's an M:part one for discs that comes with spacers you could cut ddown , easier and cheap at £32

I fitted one of these to my "shopper" inbred recently.

It's a two piece rack that bolts together along the centre line, with steel rods at each end. It wouldnt take much to adapt it to be wider.

the on-one listing doesnt show them, but it comes with seatstay mount spars too

A normal Topeak DX fits easily on a Longitude if that's any help. Supposedly 'mid-fat' but it's very wide at the back.

Ohh, that minoura one looks the business. Could even cut'n'shut it with some plywood for added fat-bike nicheness.

I could try the DX, but I'm wary of splaying it out almost and inch each side.

Remember that the outside diameter of a 26" fat tyre is more like a 29er, so the Minoura might struggle for height. You may be able to add something on to the vertical supports though.

Also look at the Madison Ridge rack.. I have one for my 9ZERO7 (although it's only a 135 rear end).

I was thinking that, the minoura looks like it's got quite a sturdy plate at the bottom which could take a bracket cut from a bit of aluminium? Given time + effort I'd make one bracket that bolted through both disk mounts and another with a thread to replace the QR nut on the drive side. But in reality I'll probably compromise and P-clip it on above the disk mount.

the bottom bracket of the minoura is pretty robust. 3-4mm thick steel I reckon.

My suggestion easily the cheapest/simplest.

Also light
