[#1026729]

Looking for a group to ride with on Sundays. My local clubs fast boys do Saturdays and I work then.
Looking for something testing between now and mid December, then over January and February before the first season starter races take place.
Fully prepared to be dropped.

Sunday is just the 'club' riders group. Their hard riders session is still on a Saturday.

yeah, officially, but the fast lot still ride. They aren't very welcoming though. i was only really accepted due to the fact they all know my old boss, who was very respectable on abike a few years back...

Yes I found that with them. A few years back I trained all winter with them and when the season started they (the blazers) wouldn't let me race as they didn't really know me. So I promptly joined a small local club and raced twice a week for years with them. Sadly they no longer exist.

its a shame really. It put me off riding with them. That and the fact they were very aggressive/rude to other people, especially female pedestrians...

If you fancy a ride I'd br up for it... Im not too fit at the moment, but still fitter than most. Where do you live? WHat about Verulanium cc?

I'm in Leighton Buzzard, So I have some good local outfits, North Bucks, Team MK, Aylesbury and Hemel. But for how I've got a mate coming up from Highgate CC, he is meant to be putting me through it but the sight of an overweight red faced grey haired geezer bobling up the hills touches his heart strings.

yeah, ive only ever ridden with the hemel lot. I mostly rode on my own though, and judged myself on the hemel 10 time trial. .... I think some of the guys from Wycombe are good. But its a bit far really, even though it is still bucks.

oh, the other reason i dont like hemel cycling club, is because the chairman sold me my first road bike, which is far too big for me... And it was very obvious. I would know now, but i' never even sat on a road bike before then..

I forgot about those guys. That would be ideal. Is Nick still evil when it comes to route choice ๐Ÿ˜›
