Just leave the peak on, anyone who insults you needs to get a life of their own before speaking :).

whilst you're removing your peak you may as well remove your testicles too
neither are required for road riding

You need a new helmet. And some different shoes. Not to mention short, jerseys, jackets, glasses, gloves...

Why not replace the helmet with a Netto bag?

If you find that the peak restricts your forward view when "in the drops" then it would be sensible to take it off, yes?

I stopped using peaks a long time ago, found them of no benefit apart from fashion.

If it rains I lleave the peak on. Tend to take it off on road.

Roadies ride in all weathers so do MTBr's, (generally) only one wears a peak - why?

Just take it off, if you're using dropped bars a peak can be a pain in the arse. Only good if you have an adjustable one. They also keep sun/rain out of your face.

Actually most XC racers don't use a peak, they're really annoying IMO, they look crap and they just get in the way.
